The Angeles Clinic’s second location on Santa Monica Boulevard is an extension of the mission and vision of the larger Wilshire clinic. A similar attention to detail and care for patient experiences exist within the comforting environment. Emphasizing natural materials, daylight, and art evokes hospitality, rather than hospital, and creates a spa-like, tranquil space for healing. The sculpture terrace, visible from the waiting room, and the custom graphic art in each exam room reminds patients of the individualized care they’ll receive. Clear wayfinding from the moment of arrival at the suite, with the reception desk visible from the elevator lobby, reduces stress and strays from what could be a more typical, or institutional, experience of searching for a doctor office down a long, impersonal corridor. Overall, the approach sought to create a customized, curated experience, tailored to patients.
